Yellen: Income and Wealth Inequality Fundamentally Un-American

Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen, speaking at the Conference on Economic Opportunity and Inequality on October 17,  voiced concern that the U.S. now has the greatest income inequality of any first-world country -- and the trend is seemingly irreversible. Higher than in the last 100 years, income and wealth inequality may now be at their highest point in our nation's history, she said.
