The 22nd Annual Bay Ridge St. Patrick's Day Parade will kick off at 1 PM on Sunday, March 22 at Marine and 3rd Avenues, and will follow a route along 3rd Avenue to 67th Street.
Journal Ads are due on Wednesday, February 11; and the Parade's annual Dinner Dance is scheduled for Saturday, March 7.

Prospect Heights Neighbors Raise Money for Bassam Awad's Family

Two days ago, Bassam Awad, owner of the Haifa Deli at Flatbush and St. Marks Avenues in Prospect Heights, died in a fast-moving fire in an upstairs apartment that left his wife, his mother and two of his children -- one of them special needs -- hospitalized. Awad couldn't make it through the flames to the fire escape.
