Study: Sea Level Rise Outpaces Predictions

Climate change-driven level rise is washing away shorelines from Miami to Shanghai, and in cities like Jakarta, is aggravated by coastal subsidence -- or sinking.
A recently-released study by the journal "Nature" found that, in the last 20 years, sea level rise has outpaced scientific projections, and now threatens inhabitated coastal areas around the world.
