Subway Ridership Broke Records this Year

Subway ridership in New York City is at record levels. Last month, the record for single-day ridership was broken five times. On Tuesday, September 23, 6,106,694 customers rode the subway: the highest ridership on record. On four other September days, ridership passed 6 million, and the 149 million riders that month topped every other September for over 60 years.
