EDC Kills the Rockaway Ferry

Addressing a crowd of local residents at a town hall meeting at Beach Channel High School days before the second anniversary of Superstorm Sandy, Kyle Kimball, president of the city’s Economic Development Corp., said the $5 million a year it would cost the EDC to subsidize a schedule of weekly ferry service from Rockaway to Manhattan “didn’t make sense.”
