Small-Time Weed Possession Now a Ticket

As reported by the Daily News, the NYPD, starting November 19, will stop arresting people caught with 25 grams or less of marijuana, issuing a $100-200 ticket (summons) instead.
You can still be arrested for smoking weed the street, for looking stoned or for refusing to sign a ticket.
The practice of routinely arresting people caught with a baggie of marijuana goes back to the Guiliani
