New State Laws Taking Effect on January 1

According to an email blast from State Senator Marty Golden's office, these new state laws go into effect as of January 1, 2015:
Hire a Veteran Tax Credit – Businesses will get a tax credit for hiring qualified veterans equal to 10% of the total wages during the veteran's first year of employment. The credit is increased to 15% for disabled veterans. The credit is capped at $5,000 per veteran
