Electronics Recycling Becomes Mandatory in New York State

Starting January 1, 2015, it will be illegal in New York State to throw your old electronics out with the trash. The State has taken a major step to reduce the amount of e-waste in its garbage stream and to up recycling rates by banning most electronic gadgets from curbside trash pickup.
