Fortis Rooted in Satmar Williamsburg

According to the Wall Street Journal, Fortis Property Group, which now owns the former Long Island University Hospital in Cobble Hill, is chaired by Eliezer (Louis) Kestenbaum, a "bigwig' in Williamsburg's Hasidic community who, until recent years, had managed to keep a low profile by avoiding the high-rise developments that trigger neighborhood pushback.
